Bibesia Beachfront Restaurant, named for the Roman Goddess Bibesia, who with Edesia presided over Roman banquets, forms the centrepiece of Castaways Resort & Spa, Mission Beach – unforgettably located on the absolute beachfront of the palm-fringed Coral Sea.
Bibesia offers a new beach club concept to the tropical north, complete with sensational seasonal cuisine, cool cocktails and funky styling.
The seasonally influenced menus and daily specials begin with the freshest and finest produce sourced locally. Talented chefs create menus to deliver fine food to match the inspiring Coral Sea and island views.

Silkwood Butchers… People ask why are our steaks so good? – simple – the meat comes from very happy cows. Not only are Silkwood Valley cows fed the greenest Silkwood Valley grass – but are also treated with love & kisses. The cows enjoy classical music & long walks in the paddock … knowing that one day a part of them will make you happy too…As a matter of fact 87% of the cows requested that they be enjoyed with a good bottle of red! Just as the cows are not rushed to mature, their meat is not rushed when cooked. Our chefs take the time to grill your steak to perfection, and also allow resting time so your steak is optimally juicy and flavourful.
Yamagishi Eggs… The happiest chooks in the North! The Yamagishi farm is located near Innisfail, 35km north of Mission Beach. Established and run by a Japanese family, Yamagishi has around 18,000 happy hens which are fed daily with fresh cut grass and fresh tablelands corn. It has been rumoured that infamous Froghorn Leghorn may have retired there... in Innisfail! I know, crazy right!

Bingil Bay Prawns... If you drive north along the coast road you come to Bingil Bay and a prawn farm! Bingil Bay is very picturesque with fringing coconut trees and considered by many to be the 2nd prettiest beachfront in the Mission Beach area.

This family run company uses state of the art manufacturing equipment and traditional natural farming methods to bring you a unique range of biodynamic award winning dairy products. Their cows also enjoy classical music & long walks in the paddock... As a matter of fact nearly all of their cows request that their products be enjoyed with a good bottle of red or white!
