Mission Beach Yasi Update June 15 2011

Cyclone Yasi is long gone and although the area of Mission Beach was significantly impacted, the resort came through remarkably unscathed with only superficial damage to the resort itself.  The pools and beach are looking stunning.

Castaways Resort & Spa Mission Beach hotel rooms start at $155 a night. One-bedroom apartments start at $275, family resort rooms from $255 and island beachfront 2 bedroom apartment suites from $305.

Castaways Island Picnic four-hour tours are $120 per person and $440 for a family of two adults and two children. Seafood hampers are an extra $20 per person. Return transfer to Family Islands, hamper, beach umbrella, towels, snorkel, mask, fins and first aid pack are included. They run every day, weather permitting.

The Great Barrier Reef  - 20 stunning tropical islands within 20nm of Castaways Resort & Spa - PLUS our very own secret coral reef just 5kms away you can snorkel over.

Another stunning reef to dive over is Eddy Reef which is just nearby to Beaver Reef.  Both of these are more or less directly offshore from Castaways Resort & Spa.  Here you will be snorkeling over brilliant soft and hard corals surrounded by sea turtles, lion fish, maori wrasse and a whole host of friendly sea life.
